Palm Trees and Pink Flamingos

Nothing says party like an inflatable palm tree and a strand of pink flamingo lights. Those are just two of the items that recently arrived in an amazing bon voyage care package from our friends Jane and Dave. We knew we had a few people coming by today to check out the RV so we decided to enhance the party atmosphere with our new flair. The palm tree, especially, was a big hit with the kids.

It’s really fun when we can share this RV experience with others. Most of the friends and family members who stopped by today were seeing the RV for the first time and we enjoyed inviting them into our home. We also enjoyed seeing people we care about enjoy spending time with each other. It’s always fun to look around and see someone you know from one part of your life connecting with someone else you care about.

Suzanne’s brother Scott is in town for the weekend from New Jersey via Los Angeles. Kevin’s sister Katy and niece Lucy are up from Portland. And our friends Blanche and Joey drove up from Elma, WA which is basically at the other end of the state. If we were giving out awards for traveling the furthest they would all win something (maybe an inflatable palm tree?)

The pictures in the album below really sum it all up. It was a day of cute kids, cute dogs, great friends, great family and delicious food on a mostly-sunny-day in the Pacific Northwest.

The next time we set up our inflatable palm tree and pink flamingo lights we have no idea where we’ll be or with whom we’ll be dining. The countdown is on: 5 days until we hit the road!

  1. This design is incredible! You most certainly know how to keep
a reader entertained. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my
own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Wonderful job. I really enjoyed what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented
    it. Too cool!
